DanceSyndrome Performances

If you are an event organiser and you want to wow your event delegates, there is no better way to do it than with an inspirational performance by our dancers who demonstrate that opportunities can be endless for people who refuse to be defined by disability!

DanceSyndrome’s co-production model empowers dancers with learning disabilities to become choreographers. Book a powerful DanceSyndrome performance for your public or private event and inspire your audience to believe that people need not be defined by their disability. All of our inspiring performances are co-produced and performed by dancers with and without learning disabilities working collaboratively.

DanceSyndrome can perform across the UK at community showcases, festivals, fundraising events, national conferences, AGMs, universities and schools.

We can offer a range of performances including:

– stunning solo performance pieces

– Short 5 minute small group contemporary dance performances which can be combined to create a longer performance when necessary

“When attending an awards ceremony, the last thing I expected was to be stunned by a group of disabled dancers. After performing myself and witnessing performances regularly, never have I been so captivated by a dance/physical theatre act before… It brought me to tears, I’ve never cried through happiness before. Thank you for being guys!”

“There was a level of intimacy in the performance I haven’t experienced before.”

“Easily one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.”

SENse 2024 Tour

In a Big Brother world where it’s easy to feel as though we are constantly being watched. Are we ever truly seen?

Combining contemporary dance, and storytelling, SENse explores humanity’s need to be seen, felt and heard and is co-produced and co-choreographed by dancers with learning disabilities working in collaboration with professional Dance Artists, in line with DanceSyndrome’s unique co-delivery model. The piece doesn’t follow a linear narrative, and each episodic piece within the show explores the concept in a different way, developed from individual dancers’ own connections to the theme.
