Sam has worked in fundraising and the arts & cultural sector for over 20 years. Previously working as Head of Development for Lakeland Arts (a leading arts & heritage organisation in the North West), Sam led fundraising initiatives across their portfolio of cultural venues, including Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Blackwell The Arts & Crafts House, and Windermere Jetty: Museum of Boats Steams & Stories. Sam has experience of both sides of the grant funding process, having also worked for the National Lottery Heritage Fund, in both grants and development teams.
Alongside her part-time role with DanceSyndrome, Sam supports a range of cultural and third-sector organisations as a fundraising consultant. With all four of Sam’s children having a passion for dancing, she has developed an honest love and appreciation for dance, and a strong understanding of the tremendous benefits it can have. Sam is inspired by DanceSyndrome and is delighted to be joining the organisation at such an exciting time in its journey.
